PIGNOLA 2005

PIGNOLA 2005

Terrazze Retiche di Sondrio Pignola IGT

Important but almost unknown variety belonging to the Valtellina's vine-growing tradition, the Pignola develops unexpected richness and character as single-grape wine-substrate. It would be obvious to compare it with other vines belonging to the same area or to Piedmont, from which it probably originates. The best way to understand this wine is to follow the tale narrated by the scents coming from the alpine soil, from the small herbs growing between the rocks, from a concentrate of the pale sunshine that only montain-stones can capture.
