RECIOTO 2001
Recioto della Valpolicella DOC Classico
The vineyards are situated in the legendary Valpolicella area. The wine is the same blend used to produce the Amarone. Only perfectly ripe clusters with the best exposure to the sun are selected in order to achieve the highest sugar content and aromatic quality. The grapes are allowed to dry naturally for over 120 days before fermenting. The wine is aged in oak casks for at least 36 months and subsequently in the bottle. The jammy notes on the concentrated nose combine with hints of spice, tobacco and cocoa. This mighty wine has a carefully calibrated sweetness, firm structure and exceptional length.
